Location

The Spotted Eagle Owl is the most common species of eage owl in southern Africa. They are found in several places like Saharan Africa, as well parts of the Arabian area.

Aperrance of Spotted Eagle Owl

Spotted Eagle Owls are 45cm in length. They are 450 to 850kg. Spotted Eagle Owl can life from 10 to 20 years. Spotted Eagle Owls have big eyes from yellow to orange. The legs and bill are black.

Diet and Habitat

Spotted Owls will usually hunt from an open branch or perch, taking bats, birds, and insects while in the air. Spotted Eagles preffered habitats are its low hills with a little bit of of grassland, scrub and woodland, or rocky hills with scattered trees and bushes.

Threats to Spotted Eagle Owl

Spotted Eagle Owls are most often killed by becoming trapped in barb-wired fencing, and traffic accidents while eating road kill.
